Product Description
William Morris designed African Marigold in 1876. The pattern features small marigolds with larger stylised lilies and curling ribbons of acanthus leaves. Morris’s working process is revealed in the original design drawing, where alterations and rubbed-out lines are visible. Morris drew, revised and finally coloured a pattern on a single sheet of paper, believing that a harmonious piece of work should be done in one attempt. The original design is in the William Morris Gallery's collection as well as 23 original printing blocks. Immerse yourself into an oasis of tranquillity through this mesmerising Morris design. African Marigold Blue mural is created at a statement size to fill your wall with swirls of navy flowers and leaves in grey-toned blues, upon a soft white backdrop, and featuring accents of muted ochre yellow for that little pop of colour. This mural comes in a 4x2.5 metre size and is printed on matt paper for a luxurious look and feel. 100% Paper.
